Salary: From 70,000.00 to 80,000.00 USD per year

This position will be responsible for day to day performance and capacity efforts related to the mainframe and CICS environment. Work hours will be 40 hrs a week with 24x7 pager support and occasional weekend and after hours support when required.

5+ years experience with third party mainframe capacity/performance tools is required. Candidates must have a background in MVS systems programming and JCL and possess knowledge of IBM's standard utilities. An understanding of data sources (i.e. SMF, RMF, and TMON) and basic knowledge of programming and database concepts are necessary. You must have kKnowledge of products that report and analyze MVS systems. PC Excel spreadsheet skills, knowledge of IBM's Workload Manager, a background in statistics, and knowledge of TSO are required. You will also need CICS performance experience and experience with parallel sysplex. Knowledge Unix (USS) service messages is a plus. Knowledge of these tools would be a benefit: Strobe, TMON/MVS, TMON/CICS, SDSF, RMF, DB2/Insight and SAS.
