Manager, Application Development
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The Application Manager will be responsible for simultaneous project management and interpersonal management of developers working with SharePoint, .Net, Java, J2EE and Cold Fusion
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in recruiting new talent for the organization by referring qualified candidates and by interviewing candidates
Implement solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server, the Microsoft .Net framework, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, BizTalk, Project Server, and other Microsoft technologies.
Development experience should include Cold Fusion, .NET, HTML, ASP, Visual Basic, Java, Websphere, DB2, SQL Server
Experience implementing and troubleshooting applications in a networked environment.
Experience developing and implementing .Net, web-based, and client/server applications.
Demonstrate solid understanding of implementation methodologies
Demonstrate solid understanding of escalation procedures in support of employees area of expertise
Proactively identify, build, and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
Demonstrate solid ability to understand, analyze, and solve problems
Demonstrate ability to understand, analyze strategic and functional requirements
Serve in a project leader capacity for significant portions of multiple projects; effectively produce deliverables and coach/develop staff
Thoroughly understand the mechanics of project administration, including contracts, Statements of Work, budgets, economics, performance management, etc.
Produce quality deliverables with measurable results, including client satisfaction.
Identify, assess, mitigate risks during project execution.
The Manager must be able to direct other employees in a team-oriented, deadline-focused development environment.
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills
Continue to develop and enhance industry experience
Preferably Fortune 1000 experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required.
Project Management Certification preferred
Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, ASP.NET, C#
Microsoft SharePoint, BizTalk, K2, Business Portal, Project Server
Crystal Reports, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Access
Document Management system implementation and integration
Web architecture
Knowledge of Peoplesoft applications an asset ? v8.x and above ? HRMS, Financials, Staffing Front Office
Use Case and business modeling tools.
Prior experience in project managing major aspects of implementations and/or upgrades
Previous hands-on SDLC experience
Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment
Strong communication and influencing skills with both functional and IT management
Ability to work unrestricted in the U.S
