General Description:

Core Services is currently seeking a Manager, Backup and Recovery Services, to work in Union,  NJ.  Candidate will ensure proper design and implementation of the Backup and Recovery policies and procedures.  This position requires an accomplished UNIX and Veritas Netbackup Administrator with experience using Solaris, Veritas, Oracle, ADIC, EMC CX Storage, with a proven track-record incorporating an ability to architect, design, implement, and manage systems, and databases.

 

Essential Functions: Monitoring and maintenance of all backup infrastructure (servers, tape libraries, disk arrays)Coordination with vendors on issues with software, hardware, or the interaction between the twoPerformance analysis of backup infrastructureRespond to and resolve escalated customer issuesDevelop and maintains comprehensive system architecture documentationExecute documented administrative procedures for production environments

 

Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalentSun / Linux operating system administrationVeritas Netbackup Datacenter AdministrationUNIX Shell ProgrammingHardware configuration planningProven technical documentation skillsAbility to work independently on multiple concurrent tasksModerate verbal communication skills, excellent written communication skills
