Manager, Financial Systems Development
We are recruiting a Manager of Financial Systems Development to join our Information Systems Department.
Position Summary:
Manages activities of IS team responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications/systems. This position will manage the Enterprise Programming Group.
General Tasks:
Manages staff and leads IS development projects supporting the implementation and maintenance of systems/applications.
Works with project managers to define scope and impact of Enterprise projects to ensure the alignment of IS with the goals of the business.
Maintains current knowledge of issues affecting Information Systems and the Healthcare industry.
Monitors industry trends and identifies emerging technologies.
Assists in evaluating and selecting development tools and platforms for the department.
Provides counsel on Information Systems topics to Senior and Executive Management of area supported.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Logic and reasoning abilities, and capacity to deal with multiple projects and strategies simultaneously.
Proven managerial and administration skills to work with all levels.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Proven project management skills.
Commitment to deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related experience.
10 years computer programming experience, including cross-platform interface development and EDI. Java and .Net development experience in a Microsoft environment desired. SAP, SeeBeyond and Documentum knowledge preferred.
Healthcare industry experience preferred.
