Manager, IT PMO - (DW12918)

THIS POSITION MAY BE FILLED IN GREENSBORO OR HARTFORD

Manage a team of IT project managers by providing strong leadership and structure to their efforts in delivering projects on time, within budget and based on scope
Create and drive the new, post-merger project management strategy and standards that are consistent, repeatable and scalable across platforms and parameters for the IT organization
Allocate, and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of, project management resources
Support uniform planning, tracking, and reporting of individual projects and for the IT portfolio
Serve as a catalyst for project management maturity and bridge the gap between individual projects and portfolio level needs and solutions
Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor and train project managers, with the purpose of strengthening their skill sets
Build and maintain strong internal relationships with both IT and business executives, officers and managers, and peers externally
Maintain awareness of, and work to ensure that projects are aligned with, the company's strategic objectives
Promote projects and the project management process within IT and to stakeholders

Must have 10 or more years of experience managing enterprise-wide IT-related projects, preferably for both applications and infrastructure work
Must have 5 or more years of managing small to medium sized teams of project managers
Experience in managing projects within a merger/acquisition environment preferred
Experience in managing people who are geographically dispersed preferred
Experience and knowledge of securities, life insurance and annuity lines of business preferred
Familiarity with project management tools, PlanView Enterprise preferably
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Must be open-minded and visionary in nature
Four-year degree in business management, IT or similar equivalent preferred
Master's degree a plus
Must possess PMP certification or equivalent
