Job Summary:
Provides leadership, operational management, and administrative support for the Infrastructure engineering team, and acts as a liaison to management and/or associates in other IT and business areas. The IT engineer team is responsible for the design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and support of local and wide-area networks and systems (Windows, Linux, Unix servers) to meet the business requirements of the organization.
Essential Functions:Provides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and support for Windows 2003 server Windows 2003 Advanced Server and clustered server configurationsProvides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and support for Windows Active Directory, Global Catalog, DNS, DHCP, security, authentication, login scripts, and Group PolicyProvides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and support for high availability and high performance Exchange 2003 server configurations, SMTP, and SPAM and anti-virus protectionProvides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and support for Windows based network services, applications, and databasesProvides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and support for other Windows based network applications and services such as SharePoint, Biztalk, IIS, MS SQL, printing, and file shares.Provides leadership and oversight for design, documentation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and support for enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutionsEnsures that all provided technology services and solutions meet business needs for reliability, performance, and security
Additional Duties:Respond to second level alerts or emergency issues within 30 minutes during normal business hours and when on-callAll work is done in accordance with standard Information Technology policies, processes, and procedures or as directed by IT managementProvides project management and functional leadership for Windows systems and applications projectsAppropriate and timely transfer of knowledge and information to staffReviews new technologies against business requirements to identify opportunities for process, performance, reliability, or data management, storage or backup improvements and to identify opportunities to reduce costs.As directed by the Director of Information Technology

Scope of Decisions:Position requires daily use of considerable discretion and judgment on technical design and configuration issues.Performance of complex administrative tasks controlled by policy and guided by past practice, technical expertise, best practice information, and/or consultation with peers and/or management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Education/Experience: Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in information systems or information technology or related field or equivalent experience is required.
ExperienceStrong strategic and operational knowledge in Windows systems design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and support as demonstrated by no less than 5 years experience working in Information Technology in management, project management, or other leadership roles as well as technical roles with the following technologies: TCP/IP network design, implementation, administration, and support Windows Server 2003, Windows Active Directory, and Windows file and print shares Windows networks (DNS, DHCP) design, implementation, administration, and support Exchange 2003 design, implementation, administration, and support Enterprise storage or backup design, implementation, administration and supportNetwork management and/or security
Certifications At least one of the following certifications are required ? more than one certification or advanced certifications are preferred:Standard CertificationsCCNA, CCDA, Cisco SecurityMCSA 2000 or 2003Citrix CCANetwork +Advanced CertificationsCitrix CCEA or CCIAMCSE 2000 or 2003Additional certifications in network or systems design, implementation, or diagnostics or in any of the following areas are preferred Internet Technologies and Routing (e.g. IIS, FTP, Biztalk)Authentication Security (e.g. smartcards, tokens, biometrics)Remote Access and VPNsEnterprise Network Storage (e.g. SAN, NAS, Mirroring, Clustering)Veritas Enterprise Storage and Backup Management Products
Communication and Numeric SkillsMust be able to document and diagram solutions using standard formats.
