Manager, Process ImprovementPosition Description

This role will work with senior leadership to set policy priorities and direction

Responsibilities:
1. Manage the department?s process improvement initiatives.
This requires:
a. Experience managing process improvement initiatives as projects to develop and roll-out policy within specific schedules, deadlines, and resource constraints.
b. Experience facilitating software development teams in working groups to create alignment on policy content.
c. Experience authoring policy documents; Editing policy written by others; Managing the document library; and maintaining the consistency of the documentation.
d. Experience training staff and supporting adoption of new policy.
2. Manage the department?s SQA processes.
a. Oversee the regular conduct of quality assurance activities on department software development projects.
b. Train SQA auditors and support audit process
c. Prepare SQA result reports for project managers and senior leadership.Minimum Requirements

A successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in project management and/or process development specific to software development. The position requires skills from both of these rolls.

PMP certification is desirable but not an absolute requirement.

Our company and department use the CMMI to guide our process goals. Experience with CMMI is essential. Experience supporting an organization in moving from CMM Level 2 to CMMI levels 2 & 3 would be ideal.Physical Requirements
