Position Overview

Provides advice and assistance to the User community and the technical staff to ensure SOX documentation and controls performance for the IT General Controls satisfy Section 404 compliance requirements.

Managers and supervises the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance documentation, testing, and performance cycles, including quarterly certifications. These may include flow charts, development and cost estimates, system controls and audit trails.

Develops project plans, coordinates with IT auditors, financial staff, and management regarding SOX audits conducted for compliance with Section 404. Maintain an inventory of and monitor reported exceptions, overseeing the development of corrective action plans by management and ensuring the timely remediation of deficiencies identified.

Implement and maintain a software tool to compile, track and provide management reporting for 302 and 404 compliance. Provides periodic progress reports on system development and implementation activity to Management.

Maintain and drive communication between Control Owners, Control Performers and Management on the subjects of management expectations, required practices, and changes in the compliance and control environment. This includes reviewing and assessing IT General Control test results with departmental process owners, Management and the CIO. Prepare and analyze compliance and deficiency reporting to the CIO, Internal Audit and other management as needed. Consults with employees at all levels to ensure system development is well documented to avoid misinterpretations and poorly defined functional requirements.

Qualifications

Five to seven years IT experience, some management preferred with an emphasis on project management, multiple applications, implementation, system design and review. Minimum of five years experience managing multiple projects with an emphasis on timely and cost-effective delivery, and minimum of one year experience in Internal Audit/Public Accounting with SOX compliance. BA/BS degree in Computer Science and/or Accounting
