Major Duties:

Manages and supports complex distributed applications including ETS, APS, BACC and other custom or vendor developed applications on a 7X24 basis.

Serve as an escalation point and problem owner for complex problems from multiple sources.

Manage the creation of custom code for a variety of purposes such as custom tools and OSS integration.

Manages a team of cross discipline multi technology based engineers in support of the corporate strategy.

Define and implement process improvements and service metrics for systems and applications

Implement and manage pro-active end-to-end systems monitoring and synthetic transactions appropriate to business criticality

Prepare metrics, production and SLA performance reports detailing findings and recommendations, which includes trending and reviewing issues with appropriate systems and operations leadership

Oversee the definition of operational and support requirements for new application technologies and products. Drive operational consideration into all technology decisions and vendor selection activities.

Responsible for Systems & Site Readiness, Market/Organizational Readiness, Production Readiness, Release Management Activities, and Post-cut Production Support for all production deployments and initiatives
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Qualifications
Education:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in application development & support in a large scale (million+ customer) environment. Experience with large scale IP network and ISP is a plus

Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

Experience with OSS tools and techniques, e.g., NetCool, Spectrum, HP OpenView, custom scripting etc.

Understanding of Java and application servers in a multi tiered environment.

Demonstrated experience leading support teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environment.
