PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
The RFID program at CHEP is focused around delivering the benefits from Product and Asset Tracking, by providing our customers and CHEP businesses the capability to track and trace assets in real time.
This global program has current implementations focused around FMCG, Automotive and Raw Material Inventory tracking. RFID technology has strategic implications for the supply chain, and at CHEP, the RFID team is focused on delivering positive returns from our initiatives in this area.
The position of Manager, RFID will report to the Program Manager, RFID. The job will involve the following functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Understand CHEP?s business model and identify how RFID technology can help improve operational efficiencies for CHEP and for our customers.Showcase CHEP?s RFID solutions to our customers; communicate the benefits of using CHEP?s pallet and container RFID solutions.Build business cases supporting RFID implementation using CHEP?s assets in different geographies and with different customer supply chains. Provide detailed modeling to support metric based decision making. Deliver return on CHEP?s RFID investments with the use of six sigma tools and methodologies.Lead design, development and implementation of CHEP?s RFID projects, work with business, vendors and customers to deliver these projects on time and on budget.Support the RFID marketing initiative, showcase CHEP?s value proposition through Innovation Center tours and customer presentations.Understand the latest developments in technology, study how the RFID market is evolving.Work with CHEP IS and Product Engineering functions to design cost effective CHEP specific RFID tagging solutions.Encourage and support a collaborative team environment and entrepreneurial spirit.
Must Have the Following: BS degree in Business or a related field and MBA .Strong analytical and presentation skills.Strong interest in technology. Prior background in technology field will be a plus.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects Demonstrated ability to learn and master complex tools and concepts quickly Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for leading and interfacing with diverse work teams and customersExcellent organizational ability Ability to work in matrix organization structureComputer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite and a familiarity with an ERP system Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally and with customers Strong written communication skills
