Manager, Systems Admin

The Manager Network Operations is responsible to provide Level 3 application support for Managed Services and the Van product software in the hosted environment. The Van application support team handles problems that are escalated from Level 2 in the Customer Support Group for all applications currently in the hosted Van environment including but not limited to InovisWorks, TLE, BizManager, Catalyst and X.400. This position and the level 3 support effort requires 24x7x365 response to incident management and leadership of the coordination between Customer Support, Engineering, Architecture and Information Services groups.

The Manager, Network Operations directs a number of key processes that coordinate activities across the scope of Information Services activities. These key processes include, but are not limited to:
Change Management for hosted products.
Incident Management for assigned hosted products.
Escalation Management for issues in the assigned hosted products.
Budget Management for the assigned resources and services in close cordiantion with the core technologies group.
Coordination Management of project and deployments of assinged hosted products


Broad practical experience in computer and network operations, problem resolution, detailed process management across multiple groups, managing an around the clock support group and mangement of plan creation that will be executed by multiple teams is necessary to fulfill these responsibilities along with the ability to work effectively in an informal, team oriented, fast paced environment.

Requirements:

Minimum:
BS in computer science, an engineering discipline, business management and/or equivalent experience.

Appropriate technical training covering hardware and software to guide the solution of the L3 MS and Van applications. A deep knowledge of the Inovis Van and managed services is required.

5+ years experience in managing high reliability production applications along with hands on experience in the management, support and problem resolution of the target applications. Experiential knowledge in the technical aspects of the hosted applications and their environments.

Highly developed skills in team coordination, oral and written communication, project planning, contract negotiation and normal business processes are required.



Preferred:
MS in computer science, an engineering discipline, business management and/or equivalent experience.

7+ years experience in managing high reliability production applications along with hands on experience in the management, support and problem resolution of the target applications. Experiential knowledge in the technical aspects of the hosted applications and their environments.

Highly developed skills in team coordination, oral and written communication, project planning, contract negotiation and normal business processes are required.
