*Lead a team of experienced technology professionals responsible for the development and production support of *William Sonoma's brands award win of award winning consumer web sites.
*Help define site architecture, hire, mentor and develop team members, manage the development environment and lead projects with innovation and a passion for improving WSI's e-commerce platform.
*Along with technical leadership, you will team with our business partners, marketing and strategic partners to not only plan and implement new web functionality, but also assist in prioritizing production support issues.
*The ideal candidate offers a rare combination of technicalogy acumen, with the ability to not only manage but inspire a group of seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities -
*Lead a rapid replatforming effort, taking our high-volume e-commerce platform from CF to next level.
*Lead a team of technology professionals; with a wide assortment of skills, including CF, Java, HTML and scripting skills
*Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts to review and elaborate project requirements, estimate development effort, allocate resources, manage project milestones, report progress, and implement change
*Lead by example as a hands-on technical manager; participate in design/architecture discussions, propose solutions, conduct code reviews and support software test efforts
*Drive teams to on-time delivery of projects within a dynamic production environment; factor in web application performance/stability, time, cost and value and make the ?right call? on implementation decisions
*Define, and ensure adherence to, software development best practices including tools, processes and standards
*Recruit, coach and mentor top-notch technical resources and retain talent with recognition, career development and professional growth
*Liaison with network infrastructure and vendors to promptly resolve software and infrastructure issues.
*Support business operations by providing assistance with problem triage and resolution process

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*Typically at least 8 years progressively responsible experience in Information Technology, including a minumum of 4 years complex project management and people supervision/ management
*Technical knowledge of: java, OOP, DB (Oracle/DB2), HTML, CSS, JS. CF experience a big plus
*Experience in developing & managing a program office for a multi-year multi-channel intiative
*Experience with web development, preferably eCommerce in a multi-channel environment
*Strong knowledge of and experience with all phases of systems development life cycle for large systems, including strategy development
*Strong team building, staff development, change management, and leadership skills
*Demonstrated success in working effectively with internal business partners, vendors, and consultant resources
*Strong interpersonal and communications skills
*Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
*Ability to use computer for extended period of time
