Title: Manager of Global Security Infrastructure
Reports to: Director of Global Network Infrastructure
Location: Westport
Relocation: Would be eligible
Position Description
The incumbent will ensure that the IT security infrastructure comprising the network, servers, applications and databases are adequate and meet all compliance guidelines. The incumbent will define requirements for security related technologies such as intrusion detection systems, spam filtering, remote access security, and virus protection. Responsibilities include developing an efficient information security management program by documenting risks, threats, and vulnerabilities and successfully implementing the required plan and strategically developing security related policies and procedures. (SOX & HIPPA)
Key Tasks
-Plan, organize, and manage security, disaster recovery and similar functions related to information systems
-Produce reports on the status of the corporate infrastructure
-Plan and manage the selection of off-site storage facilities and resources needed for recovery operations
-Provide security guidance and respond to all incoming requests from various sources within the organization
-Investigate, report, and follow-up on security patch deployment
-Recommend new security tools, processes, policies, etc
-Ensuring that security technologies are well integrated into global systems.
- Provides day to day support for security technologies to ensure the smooth operation of the Company's information systems.
- Develops selection criteria for worldwide security technologies.
- Develops security standards and processes stemmed from data security policies and guiding principles.
- Maintains an understanding of the comprehensive technology strategy for ensuring appropriate security measures are embedded into Terex systems.
- Maintains and monitors the worldwide and local IT security architecture in organizational alignment with the IT security policies and guiding integrities to ensure the integrity and security of the organization's information contained on and transferred within all computing operating systems and applications.
- Develops and implements comprehensive security solutions to meet business requirements while balancing acceptable risk to Terex?s information assets.
- Research security web sites, CERT advisories, publications, vendor, business correspondence on application patches, updates and version releases and the media for recent exposures and their appropriate fix or resolution.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Level of education required: - Four year college degree with CISSP Certification
Experience Level:
This position requires significant computer security and networking infrastructure experience and a demonstrated ability to carry out an evaluation of assess and report on technology alternatives, as well as strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The incumbent must also possess a strong working knowledge of IT related security concepts, international policies and quality assurance performance. The communication capability to keep up with developing security trends and product directions are fundamental to the positions. Due to the sensitive nature of the material with which the incumbent is required, the incumbent must have high ethical standards and the essential ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience with multi-national organizations to professionally assist in successfully developing and executing global privacy programs
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and mapping data flows to successfully identify confidentiality risks
- Familiarity with detailed application security, database technologies utilized to store enterprise information, directory services, and information systems auditing
- Experience in designing privacy policies and procedures and developing and conducting employee training programs
- Understanding of executive business/technology controls to manage personal data throughout its life cycle
- Thorough understanding of international data protection regulations and profound knowledge of leading industry security standards
- Understanding of security methods and technical elements to protect customer data
Language Requirements: English is essential, and a second language is desirable
