Draper?s roots date to the 1930s when Dr. Charles Stark Draper created a teaching laboratory at MIT to develop the instrumentation needed to make precise measurements of angular and linear motion. The Laboratory was renamed for its founder in 1970 and remained a part of MIT until 1973 when it became an independent, not-for-profit research and development corporation.

Position Description & Responsibilities

 

Successful candidate for this key position will manage the Management Information Systems group of 10 business system developer/analysts. Will serve as the customer liaison from Information Services to internal customers of Draper's PeopleSoft-based Human Resources, Financial, Project Costing & data warehouse systems, and will coordinate staffing of projects involving MIS resources. This individual will mentor and develop MIS group personnel and create long-range plans for evolving business systems and information sharing at Draper.

 

Required Education and Experience

 

10 + years of personnel and/or project leadership experience in an Information Services organization. A minimum of 3 years experience with relational database technology and PeopleSoft is needed. Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
