The Services workforce is made up of four groups: Client Operations, Project Based, Delivery Centers and BPO Businesses. Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office.
Job Description
Client Operations professionals are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. They design, manage and implement the activities associated with key business functions. The Service Delivery/Operations capability focuses on the attributes or skills essential to providing the necessary services and solutions to the client, the client?s employees or the client?s customers in fulfilment of contractual obligations agreed upon by both parties. Examples of professionals in this capability would be software developers and technical architects. The Application Outsourcing specialty incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.
A Programmer/Developer is responsible for the development, delivery and support of software, web applications, and other applications, including analysis, design, build, test, implementation, and run phases of the development lifecycle and on-going support. The Programmer/Developer must understand the functionality of the supported applications, how they are utilized by the users, and how they interact with other parts of the systems.
Key responsibilities may include
? Follow/Maintain team and unit standards and procedures
? Gather user requirements
? Create functional designs
? Monitor and report status of work to Team Lead
? Configure code, test and implement functionality according to specified requirements
? Provide Tier 1 ? Tier 3 maintenance and enhancement support to client user base
? Perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve application support issues
? Propose solutions to business problems within the client?s business framework
? Develop effective user relationships across areas of responsibility through appropriate understanding of client requirements
? Cross Train knowledge with other members of the team
? Participate in regression and product test execution
? Anticipate issues proactively and escalate to team lead as appropriate
? Maintain awareness of new product offering within the Mercury ITG product suite
? Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively participate on improvement teams
? Demonstrate an understanding of the team?s policies, processes, and procedures
? Maintain the team?s process documentation to keep it up to date
Qualifications
Experience designing, coding, and testing software (Minimum of 1 year) Oracle SQL / PL SQL Mercury or Mercury ITG experience and or Oracle SQL / Pl SQL is big plus Strong communication skills, verbal and written Strong problem solving skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to quickly adapt to new technology Experience using a formal testing methodology Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Strong supervisory, coaching and project management skills Excellent customer service skills Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Preferred skills: Mercury ITG experience, Web based technical application infrastructures and technologies, Process Definition experience Degree (or equivalent) required, in Computer Science or related field Required experience: Full lifecycle experience, large scale applications/programs Required Skill: Strong communication skills, verbal and written, Strong problem solving skills, Able to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to quickly adapt to new technology, Experience using a formal testing methodology
