Messaging Architect

Job Description: Responsible for the certification of hardware and system software upgrades to existing Exchange servers.
Coordinate system activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables and communicating status to management.
Responsible for overall Exchange architecture, design, test/validation, deployment and migration of Exchange 2003.
Expert Technical knowledge end to end of Exchange infrastructure including Sendmail/Internet gateway, mail/public folder servers and Active Directory integration, Exchange organization, site, server topology and configuration.
Responsible for high availability / DR via SAN storage. Integration of mail enabled applications such as Blackberry/BES services, eFaxing services, event service scripts, Outlook 2000 workflow forms.
Resolve 3rd level daily support issues related to Exchange.
Performance analysis and remediation for Exchange.
Identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to the mail system.
Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the email team?s knowledge of and concern for the customer?s business needs.

Qualifications:
7 + YRS expertise, knowledge of 24 x 7 support of production environments, including on call rotation.
Experience and ability with performance/availability monitoring Experience designing solutions for remote field office messaging services.
Ability to perform basic project management disciplines through the entire project management life cycle.
Substantial experience in the design, implementation, and management of complex mail systems, strong technical skills.
Ability to investigate and develop detailed infrastructure solution design/project estimates including resource and infrastructure costs/work effort - through all phases of initiative.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Administrative experience with NT Servers, Terminal servers and Windows 2000/2003 servers. Advanced PC hardware, software knowledge, strong server knowledge.
Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related degree or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Exchange 2003 migration and Exchange 2003 integration with AD a plus.
Microsoft certification is a plus.
Experience with Voicemail box stores and Exchange a plus.
Collaboration tools ? SharePoint and Collaboration Server a plus.
VMWare a plus.
Citrix a plus.
