Manager, Business Analysis

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Plans, organizes and supervises financial data accuracy and consistency across all business areas and to improve business processes leveraging the functionality of all applications the Finance department utilizes. Works collaboratively with business partners, software developers, system users, QA analysts and other business analysts to implement business solutions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Partners with finance business leaders to lead the requirements gathering and definition efforts for all finance applications.

2. Oversees the evaluation process and makes recommendations on business systems and user needs.

3. Provides direction, guidance and leadership within project teams to develop requirements for applications that solve business needs. Leads the analysis and development of requirements through a variety of techniques and methods, including, but not limited to, interviews, prototypes, observation and facilitated sessions. Negotiate scope and implementation schedules with business owners.

4. Manages all relevant business units through the life of a project by keeping all parties informed, and by gathering feedback from all parties. Represents the Finance department to other functional teams for systems integration.

5. Acts as a liaison between information services and the business units to identify efficiency and functional issues to champion their resolution through technological solutions.

6. Works closely with the development staff in interpretation of requirements, build project plans and resolution of outstanding issues.

7. Leads and facilitates the prioritization of business requirements and system features through interaction with the business partners and development team, balancing the development and implementation schedules.

8. Oversees and ensures completeness of requirements for system delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A 4-year college degree with an emphasis in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.

Experience:

Requires an additional 5-7 years of experience working in related field with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong project management capabilities. Strong CRM and ERP systems background. Functional experience with Oracle ERP 11.5.8 or later version required. Up-to-date knowledge of current business practices surrounding application development and deployment. Strong analytical ability. Excellent technical writing for training and policy/procedure documentation. Ability to create and efficiently monitor project plans in line with business goals and objectives.

Highly motivated, ethical performer with strong leadership and teambuilding skills. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and platform communciation skills.
