Micro Systems Specialist

Provide technical support for PC users, including operating instructions, problem solving and documentation.
Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity
Enhance and develop quality support methods and communication skills through coaching feedback and other developmental approaches
Assist in the resolution of user and support issues among company sites to ensure timely distribution of knowledge and positive impact on user satisfaction
Research, resolve and respond to questions received via telephone calls, e-mail and call backs in a timely manner, in accordance with standards
Escalate problems to appropriate individual based on established guidelines and procedures
Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant product offerings and support policies to provide technically accurate solutions to customers
Develop business and technical writing skills
Fully document all related activities associated with service incidents, projects, or installation utilizing current tracking systems and databases.
Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing computer systems.
Install new hardware and maintain existing hardware and software desktop systems.
Train end-users in the use of equipment and software.
Perform special projects or tasks in a timely manner, as assigned by Team leader or Management.
Other duties as required.

Education or Equivalent: (Minimum required to perform job)
Two year degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Computer Science (preferred) or equivalent experience. 2 - 4 years experience in computer systems or IT support.

Ability to maintain a high level of client trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for clients' needs. Experience in multi-platform environments and basic understanding of one or more of the following:

Desktop: Window NT, Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Office Professional Suite, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Explorer, Visual Basic, McAfee
Network: Routers, hubs, Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP
