Microsoft Product Technical Specialist

Position Description:

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

This position is a long-term contract to provide technical expertise and support for a rapidly expanding Microsoft technology environment.  This will be a leadership position responsible for working with multiple business units across the enterprise in the analysis, design and implementation of technology solutions utilizing Microsoft tools and technologies including SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SharePoint, InfoPath, and related tools.

 

Responsibilities Include:

? Perform SQL Server database management responsibilities including but not limited to:

?  Database performance monitoring and improvement

?  Application performance analysis (e.g., SQL analysis)

?  Production support troubleshooting and issues resolution

?  Database maintenance activities including backup and recovery processes, scripting to automate maintenance processes, DTS processes

? Provide technical and system administration support for MS SQL Server Reporting Services

? Provide technical and system administration support for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and SharePoint Services

? Provide technical and system administration support for Microsoft InfoPath including forms development

 

Technical Experience:

 

? 4+ years of SQL Server database administration

? 1 + years Microsoft SharePoint product experience

? Experience with Microsoft InfoPath highly desired

? Microsoft programming and development tools including .NET, VBA and VBScript

? Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Visual Basic (VBA and VB Script)
