Microstrategy Developer
Job Description: Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration or audit to meet customer business requirements
* Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for customers using the Microstrategy suite of products.
* Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
* Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for the MicroStrategy software platform
* Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required
* At least 3 years Consulting or IT Consulting Experience
* Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
* Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
* Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
* Knowledge and understanding of implementation methodology
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
* Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
* Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
* Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
* Ability to work under minimal supervision
* Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
