Middleware Technical Specialist 27275
Job Description: Provide middleware technical support to Walt Disney Parks & Resorts applications and development teams. Support multiple middleware technologies which are underpinnings of critical business applications. Will be part of the Middleware support team which is engaged in all aspects of middleware solutions: design, configuration, tuning and support of middleware environments, consults with Application Architects and Developers on middleware usage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 4 plus years applicable experience in Information Technology or equivalent
Demonstrated proficiency with Middleware platforms and tools: JBoss, IBM Web Sphere Application Server, IBM Web Sphere MQ, Jacada, Web Methods
Proven experience with Middleware operations and supporting infrastructure, such as databases, networking, UNIX and NT servers, network management, security, and monitoring
Demonstrated strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
Proven technical leadership skills.
Ability to have a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
Ability to be self motivated
Ability to work well with all staff levels
Ability to demonstrate J2EE middleware expertise (Web Sphere, JBoss, etc.)
Ability to be flexible with work schedule: 24 X 7 operation with on-call requirements and off hours work
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven application development experience with J2EE programming language
Proven prior JBoss support experience.
Proven experience in SOA implementations
Proven knowledge of Walt Disney World infrastructure or systems
Proven strong understanding of data communications - network and application internal
Demonstrated organizational skills, detail oriented, thorough
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to provide quality customer service in all activities
Ability to balance priorities on an ongoing basis
Solutions oriented individual
