Mobile Systems Engineer
Description:
Job Summary: primary technical interface between the Verint organization, the end users in the transit, school bus, and potentially other mobile markets in North America, and the mobile system integrators that bring our products to the end users. The position will demand customer (both integrator and end-user) interaction. Some travel will be required. There would be approximately 60% travel, most of which would be within North America. One or two trips per year to Germany are possible.

Responsibilities:Primary technical liaison between the design and development teams and the systems integrators Aid system integrators in creating solutions using the Application Program Interface (API) Execute "make/buy" decisions in the mobile environment. Design and build small peripheral devices on a rapid basis for proof-of-concept purposes. Ability to make trade-offs between various solutions within the constraints of shock, vibration, heat, moisture and dust. Perform other related work as assigned
Requirements:
Competencies: Working knowledge of computer hardware and software Working knowledge and understanding of Application Program Interface (API) Working knowledge of embedded Linux operation system and TI digital signal processors Understanding of vehicle systems and specifications such as CAN, SAE J1455, SAE J1708, and related specifications Understanding of An understanding of GPS systems is a plus

-Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timeframes
- Understanding of new technologies and their applications for solving business problems
