Multimedia/Online Course Programmer

Position Responsibilities:  Creates online classes utilizing MOODLE, an online learning management system. Incorporates videography, audio, Powerpoint, quizzes and other presentation tools.  Prepares general and detailed work plans for implementing programming solutions.  Provides filming and editing. Works with senior team members to design and develop new courses. Works within established standards and methodologies to keep system working at optimum level.  Also may work with other application programmers to assist in development of custom applications.  Troubleshoots production issues.  Stays informed of technical related topics.  Establishes and maintains working relationships with users, managers and team members.  Develops and maintains relationships with outside vendors.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:  Significant knowledge and understanding of: learning management and course production, and knowledge of information technology concepts and technologies; rule-based and workflow applications development; software engineering principles and standards; and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts/processes is required.  Strong knowledge of computer systems hardware and software, object-oriented analysis, design, implementation, and programming methodologies.  Solid knowledge of ASP.Net and .Net framework required.

 

Must have extensive, demonstrated problem and issue resolution experience.  Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and organizational goals.  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  Must have some experience in video filming and editing Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and correct programming problems.  Must possess the ability to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey technical information to users? level of understanding.

 

BS in Computer Sciences and minimum five years relevant programming experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Minimum one-year experience of multimedia programming. This is an exempt, confidential position.  There may be occasions that the employee needs to work outside the standard office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must possess a valid California?s driver?s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation for use on Association business.
