Multimedia and Flash Designer

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include conceptualize, design and create a wide range of interactive media such as front-end web designs, websites and web components, CD-ROMs, online learning materials, computer games, advertising and marketing materials, online communities, intranet systems, and public information resources. The Designer will work with other graphic designers, illustrators, and animators to use graphics, sound, video and animation to create multimedia products.  The Designer must be able to follow through with the entire production process from the beginning information architecture design to coordinating how the end product will be replicated.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BA and  2 + years experience as a multimedia or flash designer.  Must be proficient in Flash Macromedia Studio 8.  Be familiar with Adobe CS2 suite of products including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Knowledge of Windows and MAC platform is required.

2. Ability to handle multiple projects involving numerous changes simultaneously;

3. Demonstrated ability to work with internal and/or external clients and provide required services;

4. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, well-organized, and team player.  Ability to plan and coordinate multiple assignments, detail oriented, and respond quickly to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines. 

5. Working knowledge of print production process and presentation skills. 

6. Strong creative, and production skills. Must be able to develop strong and effective design solutions for diverse products adhering to Section 508 compliance.

7. Interest in graphic design, new media and the latest advances in technology.
