Our Client has an opening for a MySQL Developer / DBA. This is a six month contract to perm opportunity. Our client currently operates in a Windows 2003 environment but will be going to an all UNIX environment. The application is built in all JAVA but the database may be accessed via SQL, ODBC, Perl.95% of what this person will be doing is going through the data in

the MySQL database to:
1. Find errors and fix them.
2. Do data extracts for the purposes of finding unknown relationships in

the data.
3. Construct SQL queries into the database to support all kinds of needs.
4. To become the local expert in what the database contains at a detailed

level and how to get various forms of information out of the database.

This person will be doing a LOT of research in the database as well as some content management. Candidate needs to have a self starter attitude.

Required Skills:

- MySQL (3+ years)

- Unix (3+ years)

- Windows (3+ years)

- SQL Queries (3+ years)

Desired Skills:

Java, PHP, SQL Server, Shell Scripting and Perl
