Details
Country: USA
Location: TX Austin
Total applied: 3

Job Type: Employee
Job Status: Full Time
Salary: From 80,000.00 to 100,000.00 USD per year

.NET Developer (Perm, Austin Based, Minimal Travel)

Client is an Enterprise Content Management consulting firm with a proven track record of implementing business-focused ECM solutions across a variety of industries.  Considered experts in applying Documentum technologies to solve business problems, (Client) is a Documentum signature partner, part of Documentum's elite Select Services Team (SST), and a member the Documentum Product Advisory Council.

(Client) is a small, high-caliber team of consultants and software developers. We are a flexible, results-oriented organization full of smart, energetic, self-motivated people driven to achieve excellence. We are ruthless in our pursuit of client satisfaction.  Our culture is open, fun, and tolerant, and we value an appreciation of life outside work.

(Client) is located in fabulous Austin, Texas and serves clients nationwide.1. Job Description

(Client) is seeking an experienced .NET Developer for our solution development practice.  The developer is an important role at (Client), because our positive reputation and success is largely due to our industry-leading technical capability and quality solutions. Over the years, we have built up significant expertise across a broad range of technologies, but our .NET competency is not very mature. We are looking for someone with significant .NET experience who can form the core of our growing .NET team. So although we value raw talent and a high level of potential more than specific experience, we are keenly interested in finding someone with broad exposure to the .NET Framework and experience implementing a variety of .NET solutions.

Our developers tend to begin their career at (Client) by working on a variety of projects following the initial deployment stage.  This sometimes means fixing bugs but also means building features and additional functions not originally conceived or budgeted.  This is a good environment in which to learn because the developer gets to work with a variety of existing staff members on short, well defined deliverables across a variety of technologies and business solutions.  After a period of time, the developer will move onto one of our solution development or client consulting projects.

Our projects are typically staffed with two to four people and last from two to six months. They require a high degree of self-motivation and a focus on delivering client satisfaction. Although a great technical solution is one of the best ways to satisfy a client, we believe that timeliness, responsiveness, and expectation management are just as important.

We don't often create products from scratch - we integrate best of breed off-the-shelf products with the client's legacy environment in a way that solves their business problem. The ability to quickly learn diverse new technologies is a must. That said, since we specialize in web applications, we usually deal with leading-edge technologies.

We are looking for that incredibly rare intersection of outstanding people skills, top technical expertise, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. At (Client), we run a lean shop with as little overhead as possible, so candidates must be very self-directed and know when to ask for help.

This position reports to one of our Practice Managers.2. Responsibilities

The developer is a contributing member of a team responsible for developing, documenting, and supporting our client projects.  The developer is accountable for development tasks and deliverables assigned by the technical lead and project manager.  Our solutions must meet the client?s technical and business requirements with elegance and high quality.  The developer?s primary responsibilities include:

? Perform development tasks and deliverables under the leadership and guidance of the project technical lead and project manager.

? Work with the technical lead to design solution features that achieve the technical and business objectives of the deliverable.

? Define the deliverable creation tasks and work with the technical lead to flesh out a design and estimate for completion.

? Occasionally work closely with our client?s technical team to ensure they successfully contribute to our project deliverables.

? Collaborate with colleagues and project team members on a regular basis.

? Follow the (Client) Agile method.

? Ensure that the solution is developed with high quality.

? Contribute to Bedrock, (Client?s) reusable source code repository, and refine/improve existing Bedrock code.3. Qualifications

We have high expectations at (Client). The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

? For an Associate Consultant position, recent graduates must have hands-on experience developing in any object oriented software language through internships, summer jobs, graduate projects, or similar.

? For more senior positions, a minimum of 3 years of previous software development experience.

? Object-Oriented Design and Programming (preferably using UML Design)

? .NET Framework / C# (Required)

? Web Client User Interface Design [HTML/JavaScript] (Required)

? Java/JSP/J2EE Application Servers (highly desired)

? XML/XSL (highly desired)

? SQL Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)

? Enterprise software development experience is a definite plus

? Experience in a software professional services environment is a definite plus

? A motivated self-starter with an excellent work ethic, high energy level, and strong interpersonal and communication skills

? Detail-oriented and able to manage a great deal of complexity and multiple priorities at once

? A passion for excellence and a disdain for missed expectations

? Able to adapt to a rapidly evolving technical and commercial environment

? A collaborative working style4. Requirements

The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

? No more than 30% travel.

? Eligible to work in the United States.  We will not consider candidates that require visa sponsorship.

? A computer science degree (or similar) from a top-notch university5. Behavioral Competencies5.1 Essential:

? Ethics and Values ? Adheres to a set of core values and beliefs during good times and bad, acts in line with those values and practices what s/he preaches.
