NM - Trainer

The Kemtah Group, Inc. is a National Information Technology Firm that specializes in IT Infrastructure Support.  Kemtah also offers innovative training solutions to businesses and government agencies. Currently we are seeking a part-time Instructional Trainer for the Albuquerque, NM area. This position requires independent interaction with the client, so representatives must be professional and customer-service oriented. The pay rate for this opportunity is $20-27 an hour.

 

SUMMARY:

 

This position provides standard and customized pre-approved curriculum and conducts programs to train employees or clients/customers in various aspects in computer application training to course students.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Confers with the Training Coordinator to determine training Objectives.Lectures class on pre-approved curriculum, Software skills and knowledge appropriate for subject matter being instructed.To make sure that the course content is attained by the individuals to achieve the skills needed to meet their course objectives.Maintains an expert knowledge of how to deliver course content and maintains ability to control classroom learning activities.Use customer service satisfaction metrics from delivered courses to drive continuous improvement of training offerings.Observe trainees in classroom and responds to trainees? questions.Administers evaluations to the students in order to track the instructor?s performance and the trainee? performance.Handles some classroom set-up if needed.Participates in meetings and/or training sessions to obtain information useful to training.

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES must have the following Computer Skills:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of the following:

MS Word 2000, 2002, 2003.

MS Excel 2000, 2002, 2003.

MS Excel spreadsheet software.

MS Excel Pivot Tables. 

MS Excel Data w/charting.

MS Access 2000, 2002, 2003, and database software.

MS Project 2000, 2002, 2003.

MS Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003.

MS PowerPoint 2000, 2002, 2003.

Visio 2003 Professional.

Qualified candidates must have knowledge from intermediate ? advanced levels on all the listed subjects.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

The education or experience listed below is representative of the education or experience necessary to perform the required functions of this job.

 

Applicants must have strong to expert working knowledge of all the following software applications which may include but are not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio, and Outlook.

 

 A certificate or license in Microsoft MOS 2002-2003 preferred.

 

Have knowledge of other important Microsoft offerings such as Publisher, FrontPage, Internet Explorer and Windows itself.

 

Must be a Microsoft Authorized Instructor.

 

One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education experience

 

Some travel may be required based on course offering locations and client demand.
