Job Description for Net VB Developer - Houston, TX 

 Monitor and support the applications and infrastructure Develop/configure and unit test application enhancements Participate in projects, assist with project planning, designs, and estimating. Interface directly with the system administrators, DBA?s, business analysts and end users Assist with the research and resolution of issues, consulting with those within the client as well as outside vendors Provide off hours support, participates in on-call rotation Participates in testing

 

Qualifications

 

? Professional Skill Requirements .Net (C#, ASP.Net,  ADO.Net) VB 6 Excel and VB Script XML ASP, HTML, JavaScript

 

Nice to have skills:

 Informatica, DataJunction, or other ELT tools UNIX navigation and basic commands Understand Data Warehousing concepts and Relational Database concepts Proficient in SQL IDE, like Toad, SQL Navigator, etc. Java Working knowledge of Oracle 8 and above PL/SQL Strong SQL skills ? creating efficient SQL statements, understanding performance issues, understanding partitions and indexingUnderstanding of ISO/RTO landscape Experience with ERCOT, NYISO, CAISO, and MISO markets especially NYISO Power trading in day ahead and real-time markets Offers, bids, and scheduling Understanding of Power Generation Assets and operations
