Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBLITIES

?Participate in SAP Go-Lives.

?Create and manage Unix level access to high level support end users and interface programs, as required.

?Create and manage Unix scripts, Linux scripts, Perl scripts and any other scripting required to meet our business needs.

?Perform periodic hardware condition evaluation utilizing reports from our Datacenter, such as raw space remaining on the EVA, capacity planning analysis, etc.

?Perform measurements of other system resources that impact the department as part of a proactive capacity planning analysis.

?Provide Oracle DB analysis, capacity planning and efficiency improvements in a proactive manner.

?Provide proactive analysis of current SAP DB utilizatio and work with the Datacenter to optimize performance such as indexing tables, hardware upgrades, etc.

?Document failures and corrective action taken, when applicable.

?Document and report all anomalies with systems under their responsibility with appropriate vendors, in conjunction with HP.

?Utilize SAP and Redwood to create, change and setup batch jobs in all systems, as required.

?Utilize SAP and Object Manager to setup new transport paths and validate transport completion in all systems, as required.

?Proactively monitor jobs, queries and reports to identify long-running jobs, evaluate for efficiency improvement opportunities and coordinate with departments, such as Development, to expedite efficiency changes.

?Participate in all SAP go-lives, including traveling to the site of the install, as required. ?Create documentation for processes and training, as required.

?Utilize internal Project Management tools to update and status projects in a timely manner.

?Follows SOX compliant daily monitoring processes and provides effective SAP Basis support in a timely manner consistent with internal IT guidelines and Service Level Agreements.

?Manage our case tracking tool to respond to escalated SAP issues in a timely manner consistent with internal IT guidelines and Service Level Agreements.

?Monitor and support SAP printer issues, as required.

?Provide status updates of assigned projects.

?Monitor database uptime, as applicable.

?Monitor system uptime, as applicable.

?Recommend/conduct training, as applicable.

?Deploy systems following established standards, processes and procedures.

?Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues SAP security issues.

?Provide direction and technical advice to Support and Training Specialists.

?Train and support all plants including coordination with other plants and installation teams during team rollouts, when applicable.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred, minimum 3 to 5 years experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Ability to work additional hours as needed.

Ability to travel. (Some extensive travel may be required.)

Extensive knowledge of security in SAP, BW and Portals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Experience with Unix security.

Experience with Linux and Unix scripting.

Experience with Linux OS. Experience with Unix and Linux FTP.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time.

Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time.

Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking, reaching carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs, with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Individual?s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent on the manufacturing floor.

The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
