Network Admin - CCNA / CCNP

Project Description & Duties: The current job is split into two areas of which both take about 50% of his time.

Area one - Networking (50%)

Enterprise Level Network admin for off-site client datacenter - Managed Services (PIX/Cisco)

Duties include: Creating and maintaining point-to-point connections between company and clients

creating VLANs; maintaining switches, routers ect.; security

Network Admin for Development Server Room

Duties include: maintaining DMZ; creating VLANs; maintaining switches, routers ect.; security

 

Area two - Servers/Storage (50%)

ISCSI Storage Admin (File storage/database storage/ESX file locations)

Windows Development Domain Server Admin - Development Server Room

VMWare Admin (ESX/GSX) - Development Server Room/off-site client datacenter

SAN Admin backup

· Requirements

A. Primary Skill Sets:

Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking protocols and applications

Experience with multiple network-computing hardware components including routers, bridges, hubs and switches

Experience with multiple network routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, DVMRP and PIM

Experience with Cisco routing and switching, Enterasys layer 3 switching, Nortel and HP required

CCNA required, CCNP preferred.

Network + required.

 

Exceptional customer service skills are a must have for this position.....both internal and external.

 

Preferred: Master's degree, CCNA, CCNP
