THIS POSITION REQUIRES EXTENSIVE (100%) TRAVEL BUT IT DOESN?T REQUIRE RELOCATION. CANDIDATES CAN LIVE IN DENVER, PHOENIX, LAS VEGAS OR SALT LAKE CITY.
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Technical Requirements:
EXPERIENCE IMPLEMENTING EXCHANGE AND ACTIVE DIRECTORY IS A MUST.
EXTENSIVE hands-on experience with MS Active Directory, Exchange Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003.
Seven (7) years experience with LANs/WANS, network design and administration.
High level of understanding of network and server fundamentals including services, topologies, and security concepts such as firewalls, secure shell; strong knowledge of network communications (TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 devices, addressing, VLANs, routing, Internet)
Managerial Requirements:
Three (3) years in a supervisory role
Ability to clearly communicate technical issues both in oral and written formats
Proven ability to develop network-related plans and documentation
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Strong network design, project planning and implementation skills, to include troubleshooting, administration, and capacity planning ? hands on configuration ability with a major vendor?s (Cisco, Foundry, Avaya, etc.) product (switch, router, firewall, etc.)
Be able to install, patch and configure either a Microsoft Server Class OS or a Linux / Unix Server class OS.
Network security expertise to include vulnerability assessments and tools required.
Strong people and project management skills to include customer interface and presentation, proposal generation, personnel management.
Hands-on VoIP technologies and Voice Telecommunications skills.
Network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Working knowledge of backup software, tape rotation planning, and restore procedures.
Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity planning and implementation.
Extensive experience with Exchange, GroupWise, iPlanet, or Sendmail.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor?s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university
MCSE 2000 or 2003
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will provide technical project leadership, senior networking expertise, and technical management for key clients and regional staff with services such as: network design, Internet connectivity, security analysis/design and implementation, network management, definition and coordination of standards, project and personnel management, technology research, and network documentation, including, but not limited to, the creation of detailed diagrams using such programs as Microsoft Visio? or other network diagramming software. Candidate will provide project management, temporary staff management, and serve as an escalation resource for network issues. This position will work in our Technical Services Division (TSD) and report to the Director of Network Services. The position requires 80-100% travel to key sites within our nationwide customer base.
