The primary function for the Network Administrator is to manage the LAN/WAN performance and maintain LAN/WAN security. You will install, maintain and monitor the operation of the local area network. You'll evaluate vendor products in hardware, software and telecommunications equipment and recommend purchases consistent with short and long term objectives. The Network Administrator will recommend and implement LAN/WAN policies and standards, ensuring adherence to security procedures.

Essential Functions:

' Designs, installs, upgrades, configures, and repairs local and wide area network hardware and infrastructure.
' Managing external circuits.
' Prepares project request for networking needs.
' Evaluates, tests, and recommends appropriate technology for use in the network environment.
' Installs and tests network hardware in a networked environment.
' Installs and tests approved software and software upgrades in a networked environment.
' Develops and coordinates network replacement plan.
' Maintains network maps of all sites.
