Network Administrator, Sr. (IntelliCorp – Solon, OH)

Responsible for the quality and delivery of technical expertise and knowledge in monitoring network system performance, troubleshooting problems on the WAN/LAN, dial up network, distributed systems, and desktop environments.  The successful candidate must work individually, with peers, and outside vendors to maintain the network center and remote sites telecommunication lines and hardware.  Assignments are often advanced in nature with alternatives and results expected clearly defined.

High school and technical school training or equivalent, college degree desirable.  Advanced technical school training preferred.  Five to seven years experience in network operations with a minimum two to three years hands on experience with router, modem (lease lines and dial), network cabling, server configuration and monitoring, Applications monitoring, troubleshoot 1st level application issues, and desktop support.

Specific Responsibilities

? Communication Hardware: Assist in the evaluation and selection of terminals and configured communication lines. 

? LAN Administration: Under general direction balance LAN traffic, handle accounts and manage availability of LAN resources, and diagnose and resolve all LAN problems. :

? Problem Solving: Independently resolve difficult problems and implement solutions considering both short and long term implications of solution.  Establishes standards, procedures and benchmarks to minimize potential problems within areas of responsibility.

? Scheduling: Maintains a complete shift production schedule and modifies it to respond to abnormal job termination, system and network failures, re-runs, special requests, etc. Resolves work load contention, monitors trends, and recognizes problem areas early.

? Client Service: Interact with end user and first line management personnel.  Participate in and conduct meetings with user.  Responds to planned and unplanned client requests without disruption in service levels.  Keeps clients informed.
