Network Engineer

Job Description:
Performs work focusing on software, maintenance, and operations of systems used by AT&T in conducting its business. Performs feasibility assessments, creates requirements, manages projects, and integrates and tests technical solutions for software. Includes systems analysis and application programming, database (data resource) management and security, computer operations, and information technology support. Assures uninterrupted availability and operation of the installed base of information technology systems (all components: hardware, software, and network). Designs and implements disaster recovery procedures along with managing day-to-day operation, administration and support planning for installed base. Performs system and application tuning, optimizing use of technical resources. Provides technical advice and performs complex technical troubleshooting for a wide-range of hardware, software, telecommunications or network products or applications.

Candidates must have a current Top Secret security clearance with a full scope polygraph.
Network Engineer to support USG customers in Washington DC Metro Area. Responsibilities include: Evaluate existing customer network infrastructures for reliability, risk and performance. Identify architectural improvements in support of customer missions. Team with system developers and O&M support personnel to ensure proper network foundation to support on-going data and VoIP network evolution. Provide network security guidance.

The individual selected for this position must have 7 to 10 years experience related to information and communications/network systems, utilizing commercial hardware and software technology. Experience with the following required:

? ATM (AAL/1 and AAL/5 Experience)
? IP and VoIP Technologies
. Router and Switch ? OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs
? Enterprise Network Design Experience
? ?Hands On? Cisco and Marconi
? VPNs, Firewalls & Network Security
