APM Terminals North America is part of the global terminal operating arm of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. As the world?s third largest terminal operator, APM Terminals has container handling operations at over 40 terminals worldwide including 13 in North America. Right now, as we greatly expand our operations in Portsmouth, VA, we are seeking an experienced IT professional to plan and execute projects that will maintain and enhance the network infrastructure of the terminal.

 

You will be responsible for implementing and auditing state-of-the-art systems to ensure that all network points of access (wired & wireless) comply with security and antivirus policies; monitoring and supporting all CISCO products, Checkpoint Firewall, and the RSA authentication sub-system; and working with outside suppliers to support both voice and data telecommunications systems. You?ll also participate in after-hours operations center support on a rotating basis.

 

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with a minimum of 11+ years of network engineering experience. Candidates must be experienced in project management, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. CISCO, MSCE, CHECKPOINT & CompTIA certifications are required.
