Network Engineer - Lead

Description:
- Accountable for leading tactical and long-term network planning activities through the analysis, planning, and design project life cycle.



- Leads technical engineering staff through maintenance, test and evaluation programs.



- Performs complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems.



- Engineers LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.



- Conducts analysis and preparation of financial, budget, and beneficial reports to justify technology and business project investment.



- Will serve as a technical liaison with vendors and business customers.



- Will research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies.



- Assess emerging network technologies and make recommendations to information technology management.



- Will guide and oversee work of others.



- This individual performs complex tasks to restore network operation in an expeditious manner.



24x7 on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated successful experience in voice & data networking technologies.

- 3 years experience in Cisco hardware / IOS configuration.

- Ability to design configurations on paper as well as on the equipment. CCNA/CCNE Preferred.

- Working knowledge of IPT Convergence, Cisco Call Mgr, Cisco IPT Contact Center, VoIP, MPLS,VPN, PIX, IDS, IGX.

- 3 years background in project managing network engineering projects, working with telecommunication companies, understand network engineering and operation teams activities.

- Strong communication skills to talk with business partners, technical vendors and internal engineering counter parts.

- MS Project background a plus, VISIO, MS Office application and Lotus Notes
