Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role: Provide highly technical expertise in conducting network and telecommunications capabilities studies, requirements analysis, technology assessments, design, and implementation. Execute project plans and provide engineering expertise. Supervise other engineering and technical staff in support of requirements and exercise independent judgment in the performance of all duties meeting customer requirements. Provide solutions to difficult highly unusual and extremely complex technical, administrative, and management problems requiring a high level of analytical ability. Consult extensively with customer representatives and employees as needed to meet mission and task requirements. Direct the activity of groups of junior personnel as needed to meet customer requirements.



Functional/Industry Knowledge:
-5-10 years of experience in a progressively responsible network systems engineering environment


-Ability to lead field network infrastructure surveys, data analysis, and wired and wireless network design and implementation as part of an established network design engineering team in support of customer directed requirements


-Ability to interact with government and industry engineers to help develop system specifications and identify and integrate technologies


-Ability to identify system performance requirements based on analysis of projected network user demand and concept of operation


-Ability to work closely with government and industry engineers and managers to advise them on the operationally relevant status of assigned tasks, provide escalated help desk troubleshooting, and just-in-time support as needed



Education/Certifications or equivalent required:
BS degree in a related field required
