MicroSys (www.microsysllc.com), an integrity-driven information systems engineering company with headquarters in Manassas, VA, is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support our customer and our dynamic growth. MicroSys is providing overall IT & Systems Engineering support to a highly visible Federal Agency. This particular group provides systems engineering & infrastructure support for the program.


Job Description

As a member of the MicroSys team you'll perform tasks associated with being a Network Engineer for a highly visible federal customer. We are seeking strong VoIP Engineers with 5+ years of large scale Cisco and Microsoft Enterprise experience to support a VoIP transition project for our customer. The candidate must understand the Cisco AVVID suite and have a strong knowledge of Cisco Callmanager and Unity. The ability to bring up VoIP & data at new locations under tight deadlines is required, along with working under limited supervision. Candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on formally structured LAN/WAN projects and 3+ years of experience working on formally structured Cisco VOIP projects. Must have experience and knowledge of the engineering lifecycle. The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with the architecture and implementation of modern TCP/IP networks with specific knowledge of VoIP, QoS, VPN Tunneling, VoIP Security, IP routing, IP traffic filtering (access lists), DNS, DHCP, and the ability to understand Sniffer trace data.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and or certifications10+years of overall IT industry experience5+ years of working on formally structured LAN/WAN projects3+ years of working on formally structured Cisco VoIP projectsMust have experience in implementing secure measures within hosting architectures (e.g. firewalls, IDS, VPNs, OS Hardening, Anti-Virus, and Vulnerability Assessments for VoIP hardware.)Must have extensive knowledge with Cisco Routers & Switches, Microsoft Server 2000 and 2003 environmentsCisco CCNP certification or higherMCSE 2000 or MCSE 2003 certification preferredMust be a US citizen, clearable to Top SecretLocation: Reston, VA
