Network Engineers- several positions in the Austin Area !

We have several long-term contract opportunities in the Austin area for experienced Network Engineers. Required skills include:

VoIP / System Services Team Lead

-  Leadership skills/experience

-  Project execution knowledge

-  Engineer/design capabilities in VoIP, Unix, Firewall and VPN systems

-  CCVP and Unix/Linux certifications a plus

-  Experience with Cisco Call Manager preferred

-  Solid understanding of networks and QoS

-  Solid troubleshooting capabilities

-  Ability to translate business needs into effective and manageable solutions

-  Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities

-  Ability to lead and mentor team members with clear direction

-  Manage 24/7 supported services and manage on-call resources

-  Ability to manage resources and requirements to strict project deadlines

-  Strong written and presentation skill required

 

Network

-  Solid knowledge of network technologies

-  Cisco specific knowledge a plus

-  CCNA certification required, CCNP/CCDP preferred

-  Solid understanding of OSI model required

-  Ability to configure and troubleshoot L2/3 switches and routers

-  Secure wireless knowledge beneficial

-  Knowledge of SNMP and network monitoring tools beneficial

-  Ability to meet strict deadlines

-  Good communication skills

 

Server Configuration & Admin

-  Solid knowledge of server technologies

-  Microsoft AD/Exchange specific knowledge a plus

-  Dell server hardware knowledge a plus

-  MSCP certification, MCSE preferred

-  Citrix knowledge beneficial

-  VMWare knowledge beneficial

-  SAN/iSCSI/AoE knowledge beneficial

-  Ability to meet strict deadlines

-  Good communication skills
