Position Description:

Chevron Pipeline Company is accepting online applications for the position of Network Security Team Leader (0608-50162666) located in Houston, Texas through August 25, 2006.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Network Infrastructure and Security Team Leader is a member of the MIT&CS (Measurement, Information Technology & Control Systems) department. MIT&CS consists of a Control Systems Team, a Measurement Team and an IT team. The Network Infrastructure and Security team leader provides leadership for CPL?s business and SCADA infrastructure, PC network support, business and SCADA infrastructure strategy. The position resides at Chevron Pipe Line?s ( CPL?s ) home office in Houston, TX.



Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Network Infrastructure Security: Ensures that CPL?s business, SCADA, SCADA communications, and control system network infrastructure is Information Protection (IP) compliant. Ensures that CPL?s assets, both data and systems. comply with security policies and effective IP management principles. Identifies risks associated with business & control systems. Recommends and implements alternatives to mitigate the identified risks.
- Network Support Management: Manages help desk support group. Identifies and implements processes and procedures to support CPL PC infrastructure.
- Network Infrastructure Strategy: Develops and maintains a strategy for CPL network infrastructure for SCADA, SCADA communications, and control system networks. Develops and maintain a strategy for CPL business applications and their interface with each other. Works with ITC and Global Gas IT to ensure alignment with their strategies as they relate to network infrastructure. Performs as CPL process control technical representative with industry and government organizations.
- Responsible for risk assessment and pre-audit reviews.
- Leads or participates on infrastructure projects such as Global Information Link (GIL) initiative, business expansion projects requiring infrastructure installation.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor?s degree required in Computer Science or Engineering discipline
- Relocation benefits will not be considered.
- This is a safety sensitive position.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Demonstrated knowledge of application and operating systems including Windows XP, 2000, NT4 Oracle, SQL and Unix.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with SCADA, SCADA communications and control system network infrastructure
- Demonstrated knowledge of intrusion detection.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy standardized processes for secured infrastructure to achieve results in the short and long term.
- Actively develops and shares best practices, processes, and procedures across the functional teams
- Demonstrates an inclusive, collaborative leadership style to ensure results are obtained and supported.
