Network/Internet Security Specialist

Our client is looking for experienced Network Security Engineers for long term project!

 

You will conduct security risk assessments from an "end-to-end" logical security and other perspectives as outlined, to report findings, and to provide countermeasure recommendations and business cases based on client?s security principles, policies, standards and industry best practices. You will be responsible for a combination of implementation, administration and monitoring of client?s Host Based Intrusion Prevention product. 

 

You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the security operations team to analyzing the information security environment and serve as a problem solver where issues exist.  Provides technical expertise to guide the administration of security tools and processes.  Participate in providing 24 x 7 support for security in production systems as necessary.  To proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information of the company.  Lead investigations of security exposures and gaps in current security status.  Perform analytical problem solving for end-to-end production operations processes and devise workable solutions.

 

Work to ensure that the security of enterprise devices is kept within an acceptable level of risk.  Proactively reviewing security measures to safeguard information and systems against attack or unauthorized access.  Develop disaster recovery plans and processes to ensure contingency exists to ensure continued security protection.

 

Work closely with development resources, risk assessment teams, and other relevant personnel to identify and implement security plans.  Assists in determining the methods to enforce security policies.

 

Requirements:

5+ years in IT with exposure to information security, network engineering and/or systems administration

3+ years of hands on experience in information and systems security methods and tools

Familiarity with multi-platform environments and their operational/security considerations

Recent work on projects involving security assurance

IT security

Host-based Intrusion Detection (HID)

Host-based Intrusion Protection (HIP) (biggest plus)

Local disk and messaging Encryption

Network-based Intrusion Protection (NIP)

Previous role in a matrix organization

History working on very large with a global scope

Track record of risk assessment, problem identification, analytical problem solving, and issue resolution in global environment



Educational Background

? Undergraduate degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline)

? Information Security training

? Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related professional security certification desirable
