In our view, fostering a culture that embodies these values will lead to success and growth for our employees and our business. We are adding a Network Management Engineer position to our team in Boston. The Production Support Engineering Network Tools Group maintains a comprehensive monitoring tool set that provide proactive event and performance insight into our worldwide network. We are looking for a seasoned network engineer to implement and maintain Hewlett Packard?s Network Node Manager.  Job Description ? Responsibilities include:Implementation and day-to-day administration of Hewlett Packard?s Network Node Manager in a high availability environment.Ensure proper monitoring coverage of all devices to provide proper monitoring, views, and analysis of Thomson Financial production network. Work with Openview Tools Group to implement event correlation features.Implement centralized device discovery repository. Interface with other groups in creation of comprehensive CMDB.Familiarity with Ciscoworks, Micromuse Object Server, Vitalnet a plus.Share professional knowledge with other members of group. Familiarity with a scripting language and SQL is desirable. Successful candidate must possess the ability to work as a group member within projects of various scopes, and lend expertise to ensure successful monitoring and presentation is achieved.QualificationsA College degree or equivalent industry experience.2-4 years experience administrating Hewlett Packard?s Network Node Manager. Prior experience with a large-scale network support environment is required.Candidate must have a solid understanding of network functionality, TCP/IP, and SNMP and ICMP as network monitoring tools. Experience with Micromuse, Cisco, and other network monitoring/performance tools a plus.Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Solaris, and systems hardware is desirable.Please apply through this link:
