Network Operations Center Analyst

NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER ANALYST



Ideal candidate should be a team player, well organized and detail oriented with strong follow through-capabilities, dependable and able to handle rapidly changing priorities with a positive attitude with great flexibility. The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst will be primarily responsible for monitoring our network, servers, internet services (e.g. mail, DNS, hosting) and our web applications to ensure high availability. The NOC Analyst will provide first-tier response and diagnosis and will dispatch further troubleshooting to the on-call engineers when necessary.

This position encompasses a variety of job duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:Monitor network, server and web applications to ensure high availabilityMaintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systemsOpen, update and close trouble tickets with detailed information relating to trouble reportedPerform initial troubleshooting and diagnosisFollow NOC notification and escalation procedures


Skills and Qualifications:Ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve urgent issuesHigh attention to detailAbility to provide on-call engineers critical information in a clear, concise and quick manner2 years experience working with TCP/IP networks and troubleshooting tools2 years experience working with a Windows server OSStrong understanding of internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS)Possess excellent oral & written communication skillsMaintain high degree of self-motivation and independent decision makingExperience working in a 24x7 operations center in support of mission-critical applications is preferredOS or networking certifications are a plus
