Monmouth Telecom is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Network Operations Engineer.  Monmouth Telecom, headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey, is a dynamic and fast growing CLEC.  We offer a complete package of voice and data solutions for small, medium and large business customers throughout the state of New Jersey.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Maintain current network infrastructure
Optimize current network design to facilitate new technologies and requirements
Quickly determine and solve problems relating to network connectivity and performance
Mentor Network Operations Center staff
Technical troubleshooting
Turn-up of customer's service
Circuit builds
Network design projects
New Technology research and implementation

 

Experience:
Applicant must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in all aspects of LAN / WAN architectures, network design and implementation.

Must be extremely proficient in Cisco switching and routing technologies.  Applicants must have proven field experience configuring and troubleshooting Frame Relay/switching, BGP, MPLS, VPN, and OSPF.
