Position Title: Network Security Infrastructure Architect


Description:

-The Architect has senior responsibility for product suite architecture and engineering, within a world-class, fast-paced, highly secure environment supporting the aerospace and defense industry.

-This role requires a highly technical and self-motivated individual, who is trustworthy and solidly results- and detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, exhibits a high degree of corporate maturity, is absolutely committed to production uptime and data integrity, and requires little oversight.

-Responsibilities include leading roles in the areas of opportunity assessments, level-of-effort estimation, technology selection, technical project planning and oversight, system/security architecture, comprehensive audit-quality policy/practice documentation, component/system installation and integration, ongoing-maintenance process design and operations of client infrastructure technology components and various cutting-edge technologies.

**Responsibilities Include:

-Process/procedure documentation.

-product platform network and application management. o Providing the hosting provider requirements and managing ongoing operations of the following:

-Network design and configuration, including multi-tier architecture, high-availability, fault tolerance, scalability, IP assignment and tracking, virtual IP assignments for load balancers, and more.

-Storage, including solid knowledge of SAN technology, with command of RAID options, host-based adaptor usage, LUN allocations and more in a high-performance, always-available production SCSI environment.

-Disaster recovery and business continuity.

-System architecture, installation and integration.

-Platform maintenance and operations.

-Technology assessments and selection.

-Security, including firewall rule set definitions, intrusion detection awareness and responsiveness, public key infrastructure and more, as a deputy of security personnel.

-Server architecture, including hardware and software selection and configuration, and alignment with high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, security and disaster recovery goals.

-Disaster recovery, including architecting solutions across multi-point and multi-site nodes, data shipping between locations, site failover, strong configuration management and process management skills.

-Backup/restoration solutions, in support of DBA requirements.

-Internet transport protocols and technologies such as HTTP(S), JMS, SCP and SOAP.

-Product and program personnel support.

-Technical project management.

-Opportunity assessments.

-Level-of-effort assessments.

***Minimum Qualifications:

-Background check.

-Some RDBMS and LDAP experience.

-U.S. citizenship.

-Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

-10-12 years technical experience with 5-6 years of relevant experience

-Strong troubleshooting skills.

-Strong understanding of configuration management concepts.

-Strong analytical skills.

-Strong operational scripting skills.

-Strong experience with complex systems, involving architecture, integration, installation, configuration and documentation from the ground up.

-Strong networking experience.

-Strong Unix and Windows administration skills.

-Strong operations and high-availability architecture experience.

-Strong technical mentoring, leadership and project management skills.

-Strong understanding of Internet business models and technologies.

-Solid documentation and communication skills.

-Exposure to exchange-related standards/technologies, such as SOAP or XML.

-Strong self-motivation and sense of ownership.

-Experience with configuration management tools, such as PVCS.

-Strong security skills.
