Network Services Manager

Currently, we have partnered with one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies to conduct a search for a Network Services Manager.

 

This person will be responsible for the management of the network services admins supporting data centers in San Diego, Arizona and San Francisco. This person will provide leadership to the network services team that provides Microsoft Windows (NT4, 2000 & Active Directory), Exchange messaging, HP Proliant Hardware, Backup Technologies, Enterprise Storage, Telecommunications, Support of all Windows based Application Systems and Core infrastructure functions. Collaborate with other IT Managers to provide best in class IT Services and customer support. Ensure all sites are complaint with internal IT Quality processes, Elan QA processes for Computer System Validation and adherence to other quality standards as required by the company.

Responsibilities:

As directed or required supervise the establishment of Project scopes, requirements, budgets and timelines according to the departments project management methodology. Oversee all projects within the Network Services Operations for San Diego and San Francisco.

Establish control measures and KPI?s to ensure effectiveness of Infrastructure and Data Center Environment. Provide means for measuring performance against SLA?s.

Maintain Data Centers, telecommunications and network operations infrastructure in accordance with standard business practices and in compliance with corporate and governmental directives and standards.

Effectively manage Windows/Messaging. Infrastructure/Data Centers and Telecommunications.

Develop and or oversee the creation of IT Quality Processes (WI) as required to ensure compliance, accountability and control of functions, within network services. Implement control measures to ensure compliance of WI that define critical functions.

 

Education:

BS/BA in Computer Science, Information systems, business Administration or 10 years IT experience

 

Experience:

Five or more years experience in integrated systems implementation and maintenance

Knowledge of Network Architecture, design and implementation.

5 plus years management experience in a supervisory role

3-5 years experience in network implementation, administration of Windows NT4, 2000, 2003 and Active Directory environments.

Technical Hands on experience of Exchange 5.5 and 2003 systems

Enterprise Backup and Storage solutions. TCP/IP, DNS and Microsoft Product Management Suite.
