Network Specialist

Basic Function:
This lead position is responsible for support and implementation within complex data network. This person will be responsible for performing the following functions: Act as 3rd/4th level support for troubleshooting and resolving network related issues on a daily basis. Implementation of new WAN/LAN technology and systems. Installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN network infrastructure. Contribution to establishing and maintaining communication standards and network practices. Research and development of networking technologies. Network documentation and technical writing. Coaching and mentoring both entry and senior level engineers.

Job Requirements:
1) 4 years IT work experience with a bachelors degree OR 5 years IT work experience with a technical certification (CCNP or CCIE) OR 6 years of IT work experience; 2) 4 years experience with WAN routing using EIGRP & OSPF. 2); 3) 4 years experience with ATM and frame-relay; 4) 4 years LAN switching using ethernet, STP, RSTP, PVST, VLANs; 5) 4 years experience in detailed packet level trace analysis for troubleshooting and application testing; 6) 4 years experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of data networks as well as a focus on documentation;. 7) 2 years of operating in a team leadership or supervisory role; 8) CCNP or completion or CCIE written exam;

Preferred Job Requirements:
1) 4 years experience in two or more of the following: Enterasys LAN switches, NAI Sniffer products, Cisco routers (2000 thru 7000 series), Cisco IGX/MGX WAN switches;
