Network & Desktop Support Analyst

The Network & Desktop Support Analyst will provide support for desktop equipment and end users on the local area network. This includes purchasing, installing, configuring and maintaining desktop computers and telephony devices, along with all other technology-related peripherals used in the LAN environment.  Acts as the alternate contact for local area networks assigned to other Desktop Support Analysts.

 

Primary Responsibilities:Uses logical diagnostic fault isolation and centralized management tools to resolve desktop computer problems. Configures and deploys desktop computer and telephony devices, using tools for rapid and consistent deployment.Orders, deploys and manages all technology related peripherals in the LAN environment.Manages both local and network printing in the PC environment.Administers desktop resources by tracking equipment inventories and status. Tracks user requests to identify trends in order to refine on-going support.Provides support to local and remote laptop users.Manages software media to secure originals and maintain an effective distribution library.Provides local audio visual (A/V) support and assist with remote A/V issues.



 





Education and Experience:High school or G.E.D. equivalent; Associates degree in related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years related experience."On-Call' 24/7 - must be able to respond to IT issues.  May require going to the office to resolve the issue during off-hours.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Attention to detail and results orientation.Strong customer service orientation in assisting employees/staff.Motivated to perform effectively/efficiently in a high work volume environment both individually and as part of a team.Some knowledge of core business operations, systems and processes to facilitate recommendations suitable for the business environment. Ability to handle stressful situations and a high volume work load in a consistently calm and professional manner.Occasional overnight travel may be required for special project assignments or training purposes.
