Location: Lake Oswego, OregonPrimary Responsibilities
Works with the IT Manager to provide internal systems connectivity and security support, evaluates the network and networks systems needs of staff and operating departments, and recommends solutions to problems. Works with the IT Help Desk Lead, System Administrator, to provide all types of support to internal Sabrix employees. Develops, tests, supports, and modifies assigned application and network systems. Documents all systems designed and modified.

Internal Network access and traffic - tasks to include; manage internal switches, routers, and other network devices (proxy server, IPS, etc.), manage network security (password management, user auth., access groups) with access audit and reporting (may require application augmentation), network performance analysis and reporting, troubleshoot internal connectivity issues, manage backup/recovery for network systems, document systems and custom work, and recommend enhancements and/or changes in response to growth and changing business needs.
External Network access and traffic - tasks to include; manage firewalls, routers, and other network devices, manage extranet security (password management, access groups) with access audit and reporting (may require application augmentation), extranet performance analysis and reporting, troubleshoot external connectivity issues, manage backup/recovery connectivity for external network systems, monitor and harden external facing applications (includes vulnerability patching), document systems and custom work, and recommend enhancements and/or changes in response to growth and changing business needs.
VPN and Branch Office Connectivity - tasks to include; manage security (access control, auditing & reporting, encryption strength), manage performance (bandwidth and latency), usability and compatibility, troubleshoot connectivity issues, document systems and custom work, and recommend enhancements and/or changes in response to growth and changing business needs.
Corporate Wireless ? tasks to include; manage security (access control, auditing & reporting), manage performance (bandwidth and latency), usability and compatibility, troubleshoot connectivity issues, document wireless system and custom work, and recommend enhancements and changes in response to growth and changing business needs.
Corporate security at all levels ? Work with the IT Manager to lead corporate security direction through policy and process augmentation. Conduct yearly corporate security audit identifying total corporate risk and identify areas for improvement (logical and physical). Work with departments to ensure new systems and changes do not increase corporate security risks.
Internal Systems Support ? Under the direction of the IT Manager, work with the System Administrator to increase security on internal and external facing systems; provide network and security consulting for new and existing projects. Document important changes and customizations.
Help Desk support tasks; assertively manages assigned trouble tickets through to resolution, provides excellent support ensuring accurate and efficient issue resolution, and tracks issues and feedback to identify potential internal training opportunities.Education and work experience required
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Certifications and experience can be substituted for degree.
? 4+ years mid-to-senior level experience with the responsibilities listed in the job description.
? Extensive experience with NAT, PAT, TCP/IP routing, VLANs, Firewalls, PPTP, L2TP, PEAP, BGP, VoIP, Proxy Servers, Intrusion Protection/Detection Systems, snort and WAN acceleration
? Certifications Required: Security+
? Other Qualifications: CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, Linux+, Network+, GIAC Security certifications, CISSP, other security related certifications.
? Must be able to work in a general office environment, sit for extended periods of time, be able to lift servers and computer equipment (50-75lbs), and handle considerable stress at times.
? Must be able to perform responsibilities described above with industry recognized standards and professionalism.
? Must execute responsibilities with a collaborative and mentoring attitude.
? May be required to travel 3-4 times a year.
