ODBC Developer - San Diego

Kforce is currently recruiting for ODBC Driver Developers in San Diego, CA. This candidate will design, implement, and test new ODBC Driver features using software development processes and the development environment such as a documentation review process (TRP), problem tracking process (DARTS), source control process (Clearcase), Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, and UNIX. This role assists when needed in the support of existing product releases, reviews client and database server documents, and codes review software developed by other developers. Candidates must be able to handle an environment where assignments can change weekly and willing to work unscheduled hours when necessary. This role also maintains new and existing software releases.

To qualify, candidates must be solid in design, implementation, testing and debugging tasks. They must have the ability to develop and test software using C++ on Windows and UNIX platforms, and debug on Windows and UNIX O/S, and across multiple H/W architectures. Candidates must be capable of interfacing with other development teams and have strong interpersonal skills. InstallShield and UNIX packaging experience required. Candidates must have excellent development, analytical, problem solving and communication skills. They also must have the ability to debug and test software on Windows, aix-power, hpux-pa, mpras, linux, and sparc platforms. Please respond promptly.
